Why the stomach never digests itself?

We broke the ice of the classical and fresh question.

The stomach digests only food with hard pepsin, protein digestion enzyme and gastric acid. The mucus layer seems to protect mucous membrane as the barrier. However, how will the gastric acid reach the digesting area through the mucus barrier? The system ‘Digest the food’ is essential for the maintenance of life. Searching the drama of digestion unfolds on the gastric mucous membrane, using various bio-imaging, the film finally recorded its elaborated dynamic images between gastric acid and mucus secretions. The film successfully captures the image of its complex and elaborated gastric acid secretion repeated in every meals.
